Filing Information

You have multiple options to file a document onto a Hancock County Court case:

  1. Attorneys must file using an Indiana E-Filing Service Provider; 
  2. Pro-Se Litigants may file in person at the Clerk's Office, 2nd Floor Courthouse, 9 East Main Street, Greenfield, IN  46140.
  3. By mail to the same address listed in #2 above. 
  4. By facsimile to:  317-477-1163

WE CANNOT ACCEPT FILINGS SUBMITTED BY EMAIL

ALL FILINGS MUST CONTAIN A CAUSE NUMBER, OR THE FILING WILL BE REJECTED.  WE CANNOT UNILATERALLY DETERMINE TO WHICH CASE A SUBMISSION SHOULD BE APPLIED WITHOUT A CAUSE NUMBER.  YOU CAN LOOK UP YOUR CAUSE NUMBER ON THE PUBLIC SEARCH SITE AT:  https://public.courts.in.gov/mycase/#/vw/Search.

Fees

The filing fee schedule may change July 1 of each year in accordance with legislative changes. We have condensed this schedule to a one page document for your convenience. Access the fee schedule (PDF).

New Cases

New cases are assigned a court as described in our Hancock County Local Rules on the Indiana Judiciary site.
